1. Scope. These Terms and Conditions (T&C) apply to all inquiries, orders, and deliveries between 42 four paws two hands, Karoline Pätsch, c/o IP-Management #8076, Ludwig-Erhard-Str. 18, 20459 Hamburg, Germany, E-Mail: info@fourpawstwohands.com,  – hereinafter referred to as "we" or "the provider" – and the customer – hereinafter referred to as "you" – within Germany, the European Union (EU), and Switzerland. Deviating terms are only valid if expressly agreed upon in writing.

2. Products and Offering. All products shown on our website are handmade by us and are available as shown in the photos. Each piece is created with care and love, and can be individually customized in size, length, or material to ensure it fits you and your dog perfectly. Since we do not have fixed suppliers and select materials based on availability, the fabrics, types of leather, or fittings used may vary from time to time. Our products are not mass-produced but crafted with genuine craftsmanship. Therefore, small irregularities or slight deviations in color, texture, or shape are not defects,
but a sign of individuality and handmade quality – each piece is a unique creation.
Our offers are non-binding. A binding contract is concluded only once we have confirmed your order in writing (e.g., via email).

3. Ordering and Conclusion of Contract

  1. You can send us your requests and product inquiries by email or via the inquiry form.

  2. We will confirm availability and create a personalized offer.

  3. Once you confirm the offer, the contract is concluded.

  4. After that, we will begin with the production or customization of your product.

Since our products are handmade and partly customized, cancellation or changes are not possible once production has started.

3.1. Minimum Age for Buyers. To make a purchase on this website, you must be at least 18 years old. If you are under 18, you will need the express consent of your parents or legal guardians to enter into a contract.

4. Prices, Currency, and Payment Methods. All prices listed are final prices in euros (€) in accordance with § 19 of the German Value Added Tax Act (small business regulation – no VAT is charged or shown). For orders from abroad, currency conversion fees or bank charges may apply, which must be borne by the customer. When shipping to non-EU countries (e.g., Switzerland), additional customs duties and import fees may apply. These costs are the responsibility of the customer and will not be covered by us. The amount of these fees is determined by the regulations of the respective destination country. Production or shipping will begin once payment has been received.

The following payment methods are available:

  • Bank transfer (advance payment)

  • PayPal.

5. Shipping and Delivery. Shipping is carried out via a shipping service provider (DHL, insured) to the delivery address provided by the customer. Since all products are handmade or individually customized, the estimated delivery time is 2–3 weeks after receipt of payment. The actual delivery time may vary depending on order volume, material availability, and individual arrangements. Should there be any changes to the delivery time, we will inform you immediately. Shipping costs are calculated individually, stated in the offer, and must be paid by the customer. For deliveries outside Germany (EU, Switzerland), customs duties, taxes, or import charges may apply, which must also be borne by the customer.

6. Retention of Title. The goods remain our property until full payment has been made.

7. Right of Withdrawal, Exchanges, and Customer Satisfaction. Since our products are handmade and often individually customized, there is no right of withdrawal or exchange according to § 312g (2) No. 1 BGB. However: Your satisfaction is very important to us. If there’s an issue or if you’re not completely happy with a product,
please contact us – we will work with you to find a fair and satisfactory solution.
For ready-made items (e.g., samples or standard products), which were not individually made, the legal right of withdrawal of 14 days applies (see Right of Withdrawal section on our website).

8. Warranty. For all products, the statutory warranty rights under German and European consumer protection law apply. If a product shows defects despite careful manufacturing, the customer is obligated to notify us of the defect within 14 days of discovery in writing or via email. Only then can we offer a timely solution (e.g., repair or replacement). Please note that the statutory warranty period is 2 years. After this period, we are no longer obligated to remedy defects unless they are hidden defects that should have been discovered within this period. Slight irregularities such as shifted seams, small color deviations, or slight unevenness in texture are typical for handmade products and do not constitute defects. These deviations are a sign of craftsmanship and the uniqueness of the product since it is not mass-produced.

9. Liability. We are only liable for damages that result from intentional or grossly negligent behavior, as well as for damages arising from the material breach of our contractual obligations.

10. Data Protection. We process personal data exclusively in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). For detailed information, please refer to our Privacy Policy.

11. Copyright. All texts, photos, and designs published on our website are protected by copyright. Use or reproduction without our express consent is not permitted.

12. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction. German law applies, excluding the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). For consumers within the European Union (EU), the mandatory consumer protection laws of their country of residence also apply. For deliveries to Switzerland, German law applies, unless there are mandatory legal provisions of Switzerland to the contrary. Place of fulfillment is the business location of the provider in Germany. If any provision of these T&C is or becomes invalid, the remaining provisions will remain unaffected. The invalid provision will be replaced by the corresponding statutory regulation.
